Jason is currently a Crown Counsel in the litigation group with the Ministry of Labour. He received his B.A. (Hons.) from the University of Toronto in 2003 and went on to receive his Juris Doctor degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 2006. He has been called to the State and Federal Bars in Ohio (2006 and 2007) and to the Ontario Bar (2009). He has practiced in both Ohio and Ontario in a variety of areas including family, criminal, human rights, and labour law.

He currently sits on the board of directors for the Metro Toronto Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic and is also the Chair of the Advocacy and Policy Committee with the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers.
